Original match ball from the 1974 World Cup "Adidas Chile durlast" from the group match Sweden - Bulgaria in Düsseldorf on 15 June 1974. With approx. 22 original signatures of the Swedish and Bulgarian players. Traces of play. With official seal of the World Cup 1974 for the official match balls! Due to the small traces of play, this is probably the reserve ball for this match. I.e. before the match, the ball was tested by the team captain together with three other balls in the centre circle. This ball was not picked. At that time, the game was usually played with only one ball. The reserve ball was only used if the selected ball lost air, was damaged or went missing. Today, up to 15 balls are used during a match. Another indication is the green seal of the Olympic Committee of the 1974 World Cup for official match balls, which still exists. Normally, this seal would come off during the match or it would have been removed at the start of the match. From the collection of a former DFB official who managed the World Cup venue in Düsseldorf. He took the ball after the match and then had it signed by the players of both teams. The inscription on the ball with the match pairing was handwritten by this DFB official himself. The ball has remained in the possession of the official until today. Ball holds air, overall good condition. Signatures slightly faded due to age. Museum piece! Condition: B
